Aruiwa, Fukuoka.

This title reflects our intention to draw out the “small insights” that lie hidden in our everyday lives and communities, by looking at them in comparison with the city of Fukuoka. Even the smallest discoveries we encounter in daily life may seem modest at first, yet they can become catalysts for new perspectives and actions—gradually shaping the way our society and future take form.

Today, Fukuoka is undergoing a variety of changes: shifts in population dynamics, diversification of lifestyles and work styles, evolving modes of mobility, and transformations in the environment surrounding child-rearing. By organizing and presenting these developments through data and graphs, we hope to shed light on trends and contexts that often remain unseen in the flow of daily life. Numbers and statistics may appear cold and impersonal, but within them lie valuable clues for understanding the realities of a region and the movements of society.

This series does not aim to provide definitive answers or conclusions. Rather, it seeks to offer opportunities to pause and think—moments that might spark a response such as, “I see,” or “That’s another way of looking at it.” We believe that such small realizations, when accumulated, can open up new perspectives and actions that enrich both our lives and our communities.

If even one part of this series serves as a catalyst for your own reflection or becomes a hint for action, that will be our greatest joy.
